A lot of doctors will only perform a c section if you have already had one or its medically necessary. Every ones labor story is different but ill tell you one thing once your baby is in your arms everything you just went through doesn't even matter.
Thanks lads feel soo much better now :)
Yeah I was just gonna say you probably can't just choose a c-section unless its medically necessary. I'm a first time mom too I'm due in 6 days. My plan is to get an epidural. I'm thinking that without much pain I will be able to actually enjoy my labor and the waiting period of it and not have it exhaust me before its time to push which is the real hard part. For some reason I'm not nervous when I think about it. I actually feel excited thinking about how I will meet my son for the first time. Get to see what he looks like and actually feel and hold him. :)
Honestly i didn't even feel it. And don't look at the tray/cart when the guy comes in.
Is epediual really scary thou?
I would do natural with pain medication if I had the chance over a c-section. I eyed up getting the epidural and slept through the end of my labor until I was 10 cm. Also it was about a week or so until I felt better but with a c-section it will probably take longer. I would def. Do research. And most doctors wont let you choose and wont do it unless medically necessary because it is a major surgery.
Well I got private healthcare already .. im 28weeeks. Due feb 3rd
I had my first at 19, second i was 22 and third is a week overdue! Im 24 now lol :) you'l be fine :) i went public because i wasnt paying for private. With private you get offered more scans i think but i was definately happy going public :) just another thing to research/ discuss! When is baby due? :)
Thanks im just so scared im only 23yr old . I hav so many thoughts on the matter . .. dont even know weather t go private or public?
The way i look at it, a few hours of pain/painfree or a few weeks of pain and stitches. Have you though about epidural? Especially with your first you do not know what to expect, my first was my easiest labour. I had waterbirth with only gas and air. Check out the different types of labours and pain relief, in your labour you may change your mind! Listen to your body as this is what its made for :) write down how you feel about everything, weighing up pros and cons. Everyone is different, every labour is different and sometimes peoples opinions can put you off but you'll know whats best for you. Even check out videos online of types of labour! I once seen a woman give birth beside a river outside with no pain relief what so ever! You can do it :)
