Ichiness after childbirth

I just had my first baby on the 1st of this month, it was a vaginal delivery and I did end up with stitches, now I am finding I'm very itchy down there.. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if it is normal, I have a doctors appointment later this week but I'm worried and hoping to find some relief before the end of the week because this is driving me nuts. Thanks so much!!

Yes I have had them with 2 of my kids. The hospital gave me a bottle for water that helped just use after peeing. Also my hospital gave me a spray can that is for down there kinda like a numbing spray with a antibiotic in it that was great you can by it at wal-mart or any store like that can't think of what it is called oh ya Lanacane Anti-bacterial first aid spray. This was the best for me hope I helped.

I didnt have stitches, but abrassions down there and when it was healing it was itchy. Its normal, try not to worry but do mention it to your Dr
