I read that 5 is the magic number for breast milk. 5 hours at room temp, 5 days in the fridge and 5 in the freezer. I'd double check as I wasn't able to beast feed my 11 month old. Just carry a small cooler. Put it in a bottle with reusable ice packs.
I will say that you HAVE to wait until you have a steady milk supply or you'll dry up slowly! (That's what happened to me)
My sister pump and she would leave it in the bottle but in the refrigerator. Its still good after an hour later.. One of my friends use to pump and freeze her milk and use it when she need too.
