so confused,miscarriage or not?

Hello everyone, I am suppose to be 8 weeks pregnant(from my last period until now) but when i was suppose to be 6 weeks pregnant my HCG level showed around 4-5weeks(on 11/15) my doctor couldnt see anything on ultrasound. i went back on 11/29 and they still couldnt see anything. so they checked my hcg level. on 11/15 it was at 1,000 and on 11/29 it was at 5,000. my doctor told me it was most likely a miscarriage. i went back to the doctor on 12/6 and my hcg levels went up to 6811, doctor did another ultrasound still couldnt see anything.He told me i most likely have a blighted ovum. went back today 12/8 my hcg level went up to 7474. my doctor is sending me to another place to have an ultrasound. he told me today theres still a chance i could still be pregnant. he also told me i have a tilted uterus. im just so confused. I am having a miscarriage? are my dates off and im just not as far long as we think? Do i really have a chance? or is my doctor just giving me false hope.. please help an advice would help.

Yes, it seems to me that you are going through the exact samething...hang in there, but don't worry!  The bligten ovum never happens twice!

I went to have another u/s and they could see a sac but nothing in it. it also measured at 6w1d. the u/s tech said i might still be to early to see anything. i have another doctors appt on monday to get the full results.all i can do now is hope and pray. thanks for the comments.

Yeah..I had my hcg level go up and the us showed nothing....so I had bligten ovum :( In your case, who knows, maybe a hb will kick in a little later, however if they can't even see  a sac and a yok then most likely, it is a m/c.

I don't think your dr would intentionally give you false hope; it sounds like he/she may be confused as to what is going on too which is why they referred you to another place for your next u/s. It could be a number of things: your dates could be off and your not as far along as you thought, a blighted ovum, ectopic pregnancy, or a healthy pregnancy that they can't see due to your tilted uterus. And I'm sure that there are other possibilities that I didn't list.

I'm really sorry that your going through this. I can only imagine your confusion and frustration. Try to stay positive and hopefully you will get answers soon. Best of luck to you!!
