Mine is always extremely low you want to drink orange juice when u take your vitamins to help you absorb the iron and eat plenty of green veggies the folate also helps you absorb the iron. Spinach is great.  And lots of read meat. The transfusions do take a while and they burn but it is worth it to keep you and baby healthy

I was given medication. Iron sulfate something like that for my anemia. I ate lots of peanut butter sandwiches. Mmm I know fish is high in iron

I had the iron infusion the other week in hospital because I was so anemic and they identified it so late. It wasn't that bad, took about an hour, and looked like a big bag of coke cola. In my first pregnancy I was anemic too but they picked it up a lot earlier and I just took the supplement, tried to eqt more red meat and green leaft vegetables.

Lots of vegetables, chicken, red meat, beans. I'm anemic but my iron is not that low my ob told me to eat all those plus Idk what else it was that she told me to eat. Oh and of course take your folic acid and prenatal vitamins daily.

I'm the same way. My doctor told me to make sure I take my prenatal vitamins. Tomatoes, pomegranate is a good iron source. I've done research.
