just curious .. isn't FULL term technically 40 weeks ? aren't you only sposed to be induced early if it's medically necessary ? I just don't understand how people who are at 30-37 weeks , already have their induction date BEFOREHAND , before 40 weeks. even tho they have healthy pregnancys. just doesnt make sense to me lol

Most of u dont know y people choose to get induced just cause its not medically necessary doesnt mean u can judge any one. It doesn't make that person a bad person just cause thats what they wanted to do. If u dont like it mind ur own business and move on. Its not ur choice so get over it.

All the doctors that I've seen said that full term is 37 weeks. *shrugs* they went to all kinds of school for it, so I don't really question them.

No ones judging lol, and I actually know a lot of people who got induced 37-40 weeks for no medical reason and everything was healthy. it was more for convienience as other people said.
I also understand moms have no choice but to have c-sections before 40 weeks. I'm not saying anything about that. bcos that's different.
This is my first child , so I don't know much. I'm just going by what I've heard and seen

I was induced with my son at 39w2d with my son because I had gone into labor 4 days before that and after 4 days i wouldn't progress and it finally got to the point it was dangerous for me to wait it out any longer

Well that's not true, some Drs will induce at 38 weeks for conveince reasons, while I don't agree with it I know people who have had it done because they're Dr was gonna be outta town, they husband was about to be deployed and so forth. Its just a case by case thing.

I think women may complain and want an early delivery in their moment of weakness, but they do not get it.  We all want the best for our babies.
