anyone else nurvous bout delivery?

I am 16wks and i am already nervous about delivering. Im nervous about the pain mostly but im also nervous about embaressing myself lol. Ive heard people have a bowl movement as they are pushing, and that makes me nervous. i also dont know how or what muscles to push and i cant take any of the classes to learn because they are to far away for me to take them so i wont learn how to push until i deliver.

Anyone else nervous?

I am also super nervous about labour and delivery. Alot of my friends already have children and tend to tell me stories (which makes things worse). I just keep telling myself that women have been doing this for many many years and continue to do so, so really...can it be THAT bad? lol Im 17 weeks today and have been trying really hard not to think about it though haha.

I am almost 22 weeks and am very nervous. But women give birth all the time and labor&delivery nirses see everything so dont worry urself. Im mainly mervous for the pain but the end product is what I care abour most. Can u go to a pregnancy class? I know u said its far away but take ur partner w u and make a day out of it? I hear they are very helpful and u can never have too much info.

I am terrified! This will be my second. My first was a c-section and I think I am going to try and vbac...so it is def like the nerves of a first. I agree with lindeyleigh, it would be well worth the time and travel to find a birthing class. And many places actually offer them online also. Goodluck!

I'm 23w6d and so scared about labor. I can't wait to meet my baby boy, but I'm do nervous about all of it! I'm first time mommy to be also and nothing is helping. My friend just had her baby yesterday, and it's all I can think about, meeting mine. But then again I'm okay I still have a few months because I'm nervous lol.

It's not that bad guys.. I went it to my first not knowing what to expect... Pretty much expecting the worse.. it was so much easier then I though and I was in labor for over 18 hours and pushed for over 2... The nurses couch you along and tell you how to push... And most of the time your body knows its coming so u will have a bowl movement before hand.. but you do push like you are trying to squeeze out the biggest poop you have ever had. :) Relax .. do you know that stressing can affect your babies brain development.. so enjoy the ride.. when it comes time you will know and your doctor or midwife will be there to help you out too.

Lol bowl movement is the last thing u think about when your in labour and about to have your baby. My first born popped out no stitches I don't know how and didnt feel much pain gas and air is amazing that labour lawyer for hours and I remember saying to the nurse is that it.. but my second oh lord the pain was horrific, I was getting up off the hospital bed saying to everyone and myself I'm leaving my body behind I can't do this it was so painful I had no pain relife but gas an air this labour was also 4 hours and I did have stitches but didn't feel the docter stitching me bk up, my second baby was very large you wouldn't believe me if I told you and that's prob why I was in so much pain but it was soooooooo worthit in the end. I'm holding him now snuggled up in bed x I'm preg again and hoping this baby isn't too painful. It really depends on baby size and the way your bode reacts. Good luck stay positive

Dont worry about it. Good luck ladys

You'll know exactly how to push when it's time.  They tell you push like you are having a bm.  For me, it was easier to push using the stirrups and handle bars.  Some people say it's uncomfortable, but I felt like I had more leverage than with someone holding each leg.

I am actually not nervous about delivery! I know it is going to be painful and I know things won't be glamorous, but I am just so excited for my little bean to be here that I can't wait for labor and delivery! Watching shows like "A Baby Story" and "Baby's First Day" make me even more excited, even watching what the women are going through! Ask me again when the time comes closer :]
