Yeah sounds like the callus is normal, and Riley had something similar to it, it went away within a month, for him.
As far as sleeping, well if that's what you personally choose to do, that is totally fine. But I kinda feel the same as Nadia, in that I would not put him in his own room myself, until he was a bit older.
However, mine is in his crib, IN my room. I know not everyone has room to do this, but at least with this way, he'll be used to his crib when we make the transition, and for now he can be right next to my bed.
i personally will not let my baby sleep on his own before 6 months ( prefer 1year), because of what i keep hearing and seeing about cot death...
my son slept in his bassinet most of the night and i would find him in the bed with us when i woke up the next morning??? i was not knowingly putting him in our bed after his feeding, still to this day when i go check on him in the middle of the night in his room i not knowingly bring him back to bed with me!! yes julian will be fine!!! and about the blister my son had it for about 3 months and now at 2 1/2 he has a slight callus from sucking on a sippy cup.......he will do fine, just keep a check on him through the night but dont do what i did, my husband still cant stand that i get up in the middle of the night and bring him to bed with me, but i seriously dont know that i do it....i think i have attachment issues about my son!!!! LOL !!!!!!!
JoyRenee is right! I forgot about that...it will peel sometimes and TRY your best not to pick at it! It's very difficult when your child has a piece of skin sticking off of their lip, but try to refrain from doing so :)
My son's was just as JoyRenee said...right in the middle of his upper lip.
If you're talking about a little bubble on the middle of his upper lip, that's a callous that forms from the nipples on the bottles. It WILL go away! It may also peel at some point, so don't pick at it.
And your little one will be just fine in his room. Keep the monitor on and check on him if you need to!
Don't worry!!! It's totally from the bottle and it will go away on it's own. My son had that for about 2 months and I was very worried like you are. Some people refer to it as a "bottle blister"...has anyone used that term with you? My son didn't seem bothered by it and his doctor said that it was completely normal.
Feel better? It will be fine!
