Definitely a myth when I had my first son I was sick the whole pregnancy and the funny thing is I'm having another boy but haven't been sick once. =)
My mom had five daughters, and never one day of morning sickness. I have one son, and never one day of morning sickness. Maybe it comes from the family history not the baby's gender? Or that could be just a coincidence too. LOL
It's a myth, but it happens to be true in my case. I was horribly sick from 5 weeks to 18 weeks. YUCK!
I really do think its just a myth, every pregnancy is different BUT my first was a girl and I was SOOO sick with her ALL DAY! My second one (Due in 2 weeks YAYY!) is a boy and I hardly had ANY sickness with him at all!
I have had two pregnancies. The first time with one girl, and now with two girls. and I am totally nauseous and definately have "all day sickness" not just morning sickness!
But I assume it has more to do with hormones or something like that than the sex of the baby. I wonder if women who had cramps at that time of the month are more likely to have morning sickness. I definately had both.
Complete myth. I had a girl almost 2 years ago and a boy on December 1, 2008 and had sickness with both of them. My vomitting lasted from 5 weeks to 9 weeks with my daughter, but my nausea disappeared at 7 weeks. With my son, I vomitted from 4 weeks to 6 weeks, but felt nauseous up until 19 weeks, and again from 29 weeks to 36 weeks.
I've always heard the contrary that boys cause the morning sickness. I haven't had any morning sickness or heartburn at all so I dont know. I'm finding out on Monday!!
Definitely a MYTH! I'm expecting a baby girl and had mild morning sickness a couple of days in the first trimester only. :)
all women who had morning sickness that i no recently and myself where all having girls xxxx
Just a myth.....I have it bad no matter what the gender. I had a friend that only threw up like once or twice w/ her daughter but was sick the entire pregnancy w/ her son.
It just depends on the person and the pregnancy. For some women, their pregnancies vary from pregnancy to pregnancy. Mine are pretty much the same no matter what the gender.
Definitely a myth. NO morning sickness with my daughter! :)
Congrats, you must be very excited to be so close to your due date !! Hope all is well with your pregnancy :-)
I had wondered.... my mum said the 'myth' to me on the basis that she had three girls and was sick with us all, but she never had a boy so how could she generalise without ever experiencing carrying a boy? ? ?
It makes sense now how silly it was for her to suggest it, lol
its def a myth!! lol all depends on you!! I have a boy and a girl and with both had horrible morning sickness!! HORRIBLE!! lol...but with my boy it was def worst!
i think its a myth i have had morning sickness all the way through my pregnancy and im having a boy
i think its a myth! im carrying a boy and had sickness! and so did my mum carrying a boy!
