Conception after Mirena removal

I had my mirena removed after 5 years on Thursday (4/8/10). I haven't bled yet...just kind of weird spotting. I know the doctor said potentially you can get pregnant right away and we aren't looking to just yet. I am taking my prenatal vitamins though so I get enough folic acid. When should I expect a cycle to start? Other then testing how do I tell when I'm ovulating so I know when we start TTC. We are getting married in June and want to wait until after the wedding to conceive our little angel.

hey guys!

Just wondering if someone could help me I had my mirena removed on the 31/05/2010 due to negetive experience I had it inserted april 2009. My partner and I did have intercourse two days before the removal, and right after the removal I had a 5 day reg period which is usual for me. Now almost two weeks later for the past 4 days I have been having extreme nausea as well as throwing up on an empty stomach with really sensitive boobs and firm lower abdominal. Is this normal after you have the mirena removed or could this be pregnancy? could you get pregnant this soon? I would appreciate any help really worried.

Thanks :)

you can get a basal thermometer at walmart or HEB grocery store...for under $10, and it's reusable.  You can read up on it online on how it wks tho.

I was on the pill before and when I had my second daughter I wasn't back to my regular cycle yet. After my first daughter I went on the pill and was on it until I wanted to conceive again. Then went back on the pill. The mirena was put in place so i didn't have to remember to take the pill (which i loved). So not sure when it'll start. OB just said it'll be unpredictable.

You ovulate about 14 days before your period is due, from my understanding you can conceive right away after mirena (never used it). Not sure about the period thing, I was on the pill and had one 4 weeks after I stopped. Do you remember if your periods were regular before mirena or if they were irregular?
