Just started last week

I'm going to be 8 months pregnant in just a few days, yet one week ago I started waking up at night (which I've done consistently throughout my pregnancy), but unlike before to go to the bathroom or grab a bite to eat I'm waking up upset, scared, disoriented, and all together feeling horrible. I do not think I'm having any nightmares nor is it one thing I'm all these feelings about. It's more of an impending sense of doom and drear which will make me begin crying and pacing. I don't understand what is happening and am just wondering if anyone has ever had this, or knows what it might be and where I should proceed for treatment or help?

I would suggest that you see a counselor.  I think that anxiety and fear is absolutely normal during pregnancy specially if this is your first pregnancy.  Talk to your partner about your fears, it may help heal them a bit and if they are very intense, go to a counselor or spiritual leader, whomever you think could be a good support.

if you're open to it..you may try meditation or even seeking a hypnotherapist to see what's going on. Some would say that in a previous life you had a bad experience and that could be causing this sense of impending doom, as the soul relives experiences when they come close to the same situation. According to this explanation, this is why people have seemingly irrational fears such as spiders, drowning, suffocation, etc.
Or perhaps you are simply nervous and without realizing it, fear something bad happening since everything is going so well.
