I had to have my gallbladder removed March 1st. I woke up from anestisia and the first thing I asked was if my baby was OK. They will monitor the baby during the surgery and give you the safest meds possible. I've had 2 sonos since my surgery and 3 blood tests. She's as healthy as can be. Its truly up to you what you decide but if your Dr thinks the benefits outweigh the risks I would go for it. I feel so much better now that I don't cramp up severely every time I eat or drink anything. Best of luck to you and whatever you decide I wish you a healthy nine months:-)
And just a quick note my ob is the one that referred me to the awesome surgeon that I had so I trusted my Dr enough to know that he thought the removal was best for me and our baby girl.

I would talk to my dr again about all the pros and cons of having the surgery while pregnant. If you are seeing a different dr than your baby dr I would talk to your baby dr about it. :)
