If you don't want to get an epidural when you go into labor is there any other kind of pain meds you can take to ease labor pain?.If so are they worth it or even work?

Mine didn't do anything at all.

I walked through contractions didnt get to the hospital til i was 7cm. After that i had water birth with gas and air. The gas and air helped me tons so did the water. I would never describe my labour as painful, unconfortable maybe, but bareable. Just remember to breathe right. It helps to calm you down.

I think the other meds they give take the edge off. And help you relax. I have never had an epidural.

There are things they can give you but my experience they only worked at the beginning of labor and as the pain got worse they didn't either. I didn't think I wanted the epidural either but I was begging for it LOL and was so much better after, I could breath again.
