Late b/c of working out?

For the last week I have been trying to work out and walk/run every morning to get in better shape and my period was due Sat. night or Sunday and still no sign of it.  I took an hpt just to see what it said and it was neg but the night before I remember drinking a bottle and a half of water so I don't know if that had any affect on the test.  I am thinking it's just late b/c my body isn't used to working out almost everyday but Sun and Mon I didn't work out at all and still nothing.  What do you ladies think anyone else ever have this happen?

I have definitely heard that physical activity (an increase at least) can change your cycles. I would give yourself some time to regulate w/ the new workout routine. =)

Congrats to you and Good Luck. Keep us posted!

Keep at it. Once your body gets used to your routine, takes about 30 to 45 days, you should be back to normal.

I have had my period delayed due to work outs. So, yes this is possible. I ran in the country music mini-marathon in April of this year. I trained almost everyday for 6-7 months. I did get pregnant in December of 2007 and miscarried in early March 2008. I slowed down my workouts during pregnancy, but after the miscarraige I got right back up on the horse (as they say). Complete the 13.1 miles in 3 hours and 29 minutes. Could have finished in less than 3 hours if I hadn't gone so easy during the pregnancy times. But better safe than sorry even though I didn't get the outcome I wanted.
