Low iron/infection/measuring big

These are the things I found out on my 28 weeks check up I am at the moment 29+5days. Apprently I was ment to be told that I had a low iron bt no one told me anything. She did the urin sample an found I have some sort of infection which I need to get n medication for. The annoying thing is when I went to my dp last time I didnt know I had to do a urin sample I ask the women if its important becoz I can go do one noow she said noo it not do one next time. I really hope this infection hasnt been there for too long. Yh I am FAT an soo is my baby apprently. She said I am measuring big an when I told family told me horriable things which happen tp big babies. Hav any of you had  any of these problems an what food did you eat to sort ya iron levels out asap??? Also need a knew diet..any advice I would be greatful..

And oh do not take liver without doctors consultation... In my all pregnancy books n on internet they tell you not to eat liver as they have high numbers of vitamin A which could lead to miscarriage or preterm labour... So make sure u ask ur midwife before start taking liver in ur diet... I know many women still eat thm etc but if God forbid something went wrong doctors will blame u lol... I was told if i have ny deficiency i ll be given medication iron tabs etc... So ask ur doctor or midwife to prescribe them to u.. Either take one wiv milk or in mid meal thn it wont give u any bad feelings in tummy etc.. I hve vitamin c n d deficiency i hve been given chewing tablets for thm... If i m wrong u can look in books or evn search online whether eating liver is good for u or no...

Reason why i hve high number of iron coz i had liver before 6wks.. I had no idea i was pregnant...

Midwives.. my midwife did not see me from 17wks till 26wks.. but yeh she always did my urine test.. at 26wks i was measuring 25cm and she told everything looks good.. i came home and checked in my maternity papers and found out its one week behind..  next appointment was 28wks and a student midwife checked me and said i m measuring 27wks and i thought yeh thats abt right.. midwife got up and she checked said no 26wks.. i was worried to death.. i spoke to her abt this she said you are measuring just fine according to your u/s at 20wks..

because we are ftms and they know we wont be asking much questions they just dont bother wiv us... i called my bestfriend she had a baby 3yrs ago she yelled at me and said your midwife is not doing her job... you should be asking her questions.. my midwife never told me about antenatal classes.. i had no idea what birth plan is and i m hoping she will discuss with me at 31wks appointment...

Now i m going to stand up and ask questions which are necessary.. whnever u hve blood tests ask thm.. i ask her all abt my blood tests and they are always clear apart from that i have high iron its not too high bit it is more than enough... now she had me done another iron blood test lets see what do they say :)...

when i was concerned my baby is measuring small she said she will worried if you go above the line and will be sending me to hospital.. :S

I've also been anemic, it was hard for me to get my iron levels up but all of those foods that were mentioned are great! What really helped me was liver eeeww I know i'm not a big fan but it helped.

I'm anemic so I know all about low iron!
Red meat, cocoa, sunflower seeds, dried fruits, dark leafy greens such as spinach, beans, lentils, chickpeas just to name a few! You can also take iron supplements. If you've had a extra hard time breathing or you've been extremely low on energy it'll help when you iron levels are boosted.
Maybe the infection is a uti? Not so uncommon in pregnancy
