I Finally have some time!!
I finally have some time to get on here and update everyone. First off, I want to thank everyone who helped me throughout my pregnancy, I know I had alot of questions...I guess I was a bit of a worry wart.. =)
I woke up at 5:20am on May 22nd with contractions, they were about 10 minutes apart and a bit crampy. My husband woke up and we went walking and then went into town and did some more walking. I called the hospital around 2pm and they said they wouldn't admit me until my contractions were 3 mintutes apart and were more painful. We went back home and I took a hottt bath for about an hour and as soon as I got out and got comfy on the couch my contractions started getting more painful and about 4 min apart. We decided to go ahead and go to he hospital so they could see how far I was dilated. I was only 3-4, but they went ahead and admitted me. So, I got admitted at 6pm, They broke my water at 7pm, got epidural at 7:30 (which I was gonna try without, but I so could not do it..So, for those of you who have given birth without...You are a very strong woman) My baby was sunny side up, so I was having really bad back and hip contractions and it was VERY painful. Anyway, at about 10pm they put me on pitocin because I was stuck at 6cm, at 12am they noticed that I had a fever of 104 and the baby's heart rate was going way up. They said I got an infection because my water was broke too long. I got to 10cm at 2:30am and she arrived at 3:08am on May 23rd. I pushed about 12 times and she came all on her own. She was a very healthy baby girl and she is truely my gift from god.
