Maybe Pregnant

About a year ago, when I was 28, I was going to donate eggs for someone.  I went through the whole process, but when it came to the final scan, the eggs were not ready to harvest.  They gave me a further 3 days of drugs and at the next scan, there was still nothing to harvest, so I was sent home.  I wasn't really offered any explanation, so naturally I was worried about my chances of ever having children.

Healthwise, I'm pretty good. I exercise regularly and follow a mostly healthy diet and use supps.  I am insulin resistant and I'm using Glucophage (metformin) for that.  My periods used to be irregular, but after going onto yasmin a few years back, they evened out to about a 28 day cycle.

I went off the pill about 2 months ago and had my next period when when expected. We did the babydance numerous times around the time of expected ovulation (although I never could get a positive on the OPT) and at one stage I had a slight pink discharge for about 2 days.  Currently I am 3 days overdue for my period and I'm not experiencing any PMS or possibe pregnancy symptoms, aside from having had a milky discharge for the past few days in quite large volumes, as opposed to what I'm used to.  It's pretty much odourless and there is no itching or otherwise.  I'm going to wait till Friday, if I still don't have my period, I will do a HPT.

Anyway, now that my longwinded post is mostly done, I was wondering if any of you had any thoughts on this.  Otherwise, please cross your fingers, toes and eyes for me.  I'd really love to hav a baby :)

Thanks all for the responses ... but right now I'm not so sure :/

Had some pink discharge friday afternoon, which progressed to brown discharge, saturday and sunday with a small amount of blood.  I never had any cramps, or backache, or bloating or anything.  If not for the discharge, I'd have known nothing.  Today it seems to have gone.  I'm still testing positive on HPTs, but I guess that could be residual hcg.

Has anyone else had this happen and still been pregnant, or was this just a chemical pregnancy?

Sounds like your preggo hun. I would go out and buy a digital test. This way it will either say pregnant or not pregnant! Cant mess up there!

I had the same discharge with both of my pregnancies..thats how I knew i was pregnant!

best wishes.

I took another test this morning and the test line was darker than before, but not quite red.

I know it's still early days, but I guess I can start feeling excited?  I'm probably still going to do about a million tests this weekend, hehe.

Hi Dani,

The control line is a very dark almost grape colour, which is apparently correct.  The line in the test box was a pale pink colour.  Supposed to be red for positive.  I've been reading up about this and some say that the line could be feint because hormone levels are still low.  So, going to try again in the morning and see if I get a better result :)

Will post a result then!

Hi MayB22,

I have a question, was the only line you saw a pale pink, or was the second line on your test stick a pale pink.  If so, when you are pregnant that line varies in pigment.  Let us know what the new test reveals.  Lots of baby dust to you.   :-)

So, I took a HPT this morning and instead of a thick red line, there was a pale pink one.  The instructions say to try again in 24hrs in the event of that happening, or to get lab tests done.  I think I'll try again tomorrow.

Also been feeling queasy and extremely lethargic since yesterday afternoon.  I still don't have my PMS symptoms though (sore boobs, bloating, etc.), so I don't think (hope) it's my AF.

Anyhoo, hoping for the best!

Hi, thanks for the responses.

Dani, what you described wrt discharge is exactly what I'm having.  I'm even needing to wear liners (which I never do!).

DH & I had sex last night and after I had the faintest pinkishness in my discharge, so I thought, "Well, there is is..." ... but come this morning, still nothing.  So, I'm still hoping :)

I'm thinking I might actually try tomorrow morning when I get up and pray for the best.

Hi, i had lots of the milky white discharge approx 3 days before my cycle was due and it continued for about 2 days after it was due.  it was not like clumps and gushes (sorry if that is gross), but i would "feel" more moist than usual for the most part of the day.  something that i had never experienced before, and also exhibited none of the classic preg symptoms.  I tested on the 2nd day after I was due, and voila, I was preggo.  I wouldn't wait just because you may actually be pregnant.  and if it is negative and you have not gotten your cycle by Friday, that is enough time to test again.  Lots of luck to you.
