acupressure for induction

If you have used it did it work for you? How far along were you? How long before you went into labor?

Well at 38 weeks it's actually safer to be induced because your babies organs are fully developed and able to function properly where at 36 weeks the lungs are still not ready (not an opinion it's a fact look it up if you'd like) but normally doctors won't induce before your due date unless there is a legit medical reason in why it is needed.if it isn't needed some doctors will induce on the due date and others will wait until 41 weeks it all depends.next time you go to your doctor ask them when they induce if they would induce on the due date or if you would need to wait to be 41 plus weeks

How does inducing work? I'm 38 weeks and I'll be asking my doctor next week if he'll induce me. People are obviously going to judge me but there are five different doctors that could deliver me and I'm really trying to avoid this one because she's so rude and just horrible so a nurse told me to speak to the one I was most comfy with so I'll be asking him the 31st

Well that was rude it's not an opinion it's a known fact actually so if you want to put your baby at risk be my guest. I was just telling you that no doctor will say it's a good idea to try to induce yourself at 36 weeks let alone at all and if it was a legit medical reason your doctor would induce you so obviously it's not a legit medical reason at all or like I said you would be PROFESSIONALY induced by your DOCTOR but by all means put your poor baby in danger and at risk if that's what you wanna do.

I've just had a reflexology  session 20 minutes ago, where she focused on the pressure points of my feet during a massage, I had some tightness and pains during it but will update if anything happens later :)

If your only 36 weeks that's a very bad idea you should not induce yourself for one and two your baby still has last minute things to finish development. I'd wait to 38 weeks to be sure there are less possibility for complications

Do you think the contractions are worse  then a medical induction? I have had both medically induced and non induced labors. Of course I want to go naturally before they give meds. But the plan is to just break my water if I'm 2-3 cm. But if not then I get foley then water break. I'm just worried I wont go into labor after my water breaks because that's what happened with my last.

With my last pregnancy I tried this at 38 weeks and 4 days. The moment I started it five minutes later contractions started. The next night I gave birth to my daughter. Those contractions broke me down to the point I couldn't walk, talk, or function like a human lol. I'm kind of scared to try it with this pregnancy (37 weeks along)
