Miscarriage @16 yrs old

So as ive said before I'm only 16 & I thought I was pregnant awhile back, & I was a week late on my period, I know it's irregular still at this age, but anyways as I was saying I thought I was pregnant but ten I got what I thought was my period, well it is now two weeks later & I just now got my real period, & I was thinking back to how the blood looked during the other thing & it was clumpy like it had vaginal tissue in it & it had a slight white discharge in it too. I was searching on webMD @ symptoms & those were describe in it. So I just want to know if, later down the line when I actually want a baby if this miscarriage will effect the new pregnancy? Please help me.

Good that you're on birth control and that you intend to finish schooling and such! :)

Remember too with your pills that you need to use condoms for the first month while the pill becomes effective as well as condoms for 48 hours if you miss/skip one. Good luck to you!!

Are you on the pill? If it's not working well for you, try another method. There are so many options to choose from, so if you don't like one or it isn't working well for you, go to a different one.

I'm glad to hear that everything has been expelled and all is good. Enjoy your high school years!

Have you seen your doctor since your miscarriage? If you have not, then you need to see your doctor soon to make sure that you expelled everything and no tissue has been left behind. If there is any left behind, it can cause serious infections and other complications, so make sure to see your doctor.

Also, miscarriages are more common than you may think and most women will go through at least one miscarriage. It does not affect your fertility and you can easily go on to have a family later on in life. Though right now, you are only 16 and have so much ahead of you in life to experience. Are you on birth control? If not, then you need to be to prevent a pregnancy from happening again until you are older and actually ready to have a family. For now, enjoy time with friends, study hard in high school, prepare for college, and live life as a teen. You really don't want the stress of having a baby at your age.

I was 16 when I 1st got pregnant and I thought my second would be just as good but I miscarried. It can happen for different reasons. Just because you had 1 doesn't mean you will have another. I got pregnant 3 months after I miscarried and I was terrified I was gonna lose this one to but I  now 24 weeks and doctors have said the baby is really healthy. Good luck and try not to worry.
