Mucous plug?

Does your mucous plug always have to have a bloody show? Or can it be like a clear thick jelly like thing. I know its gross, just trying to find out what it is.

I know mine changes from clear to yellowish. I've lost pieces over the last week and it started clear, now it's yellowish/green and very thick/stringy.  I called my doctor to be sure it didn't sound like an infection or anything and she said it's very normal to have that color! It varies I guess!

Thank you! I thought maybe it wasn't normal.

No! Does not have to have blood. Can be clear or have a yellow/green color.
