NEED TO KNOW

Ok, this may come off as a stupid question but I need some input.   I learned I was 6 weeks 5 days pregnant on NOV 17. Prior to learning I was prego, On Sept 4 I had unprotected sex with the guy I was seeing after my boyfriend and I of three years had broken up. Shortly after that, my boyfriend and I got back together.  We would have intercourse on a regular basis.  Well, I had a period Oct 5 (heavy and five days long)  and then missed my period early November.  So here is my question... If I was deemed 6 weeks 5 days pregnant on NOV 17 ( through vaginal and abdominal ultrasound) , that would mean my gestation period started OCT 1.  How is it possible that I had my period? I am pretty positive my boyfriend is the father.. I dont think it is possible that my gestational period started OCT 1st by sex I had on Sept 4.  So could the ultrasound be off by a couple of days?  one more thing, my periods are usually irregular give or take a few days every month.

because the DRs count your pregnancy from the day of your 1st period. So your technically two weeks further along than your gestation age.
My your dates is clear your BF is the father as you did your period after sleeping with the other guy.
DNA tests are available, but i doubt you need one by looking at your dates.

Hard to say with irregular periods.from what i can make out by your dates.you would have concieved around 15th october remember a pregnancy is dated from your last period being beginning october..although in fact you concieved 2 weeks after that when you ovulated.doctors dont know exactly when we ovulate so they use last period.you  concieved 2 weeks after october period.so your dates are right, and i would say its your boyfriends.
