Vaginal sonograms are done before 8 weeks because the baby is so small and the abdominal muscles so thick that it is more difficult to get a shot of the baby. Going through the vagina gives them a better view of baby.
Well I wish I lived where you guys live. I'm from Canada and have had 6 pregnancies and all have been the same, including no one allowed in the room until they are finished
It will be abdominal. They only do vaginally ultrasounds to measure the baby when it is small since vaginally gets much closer. Unless they were checking your cervix (which they wouldnt need to do in a normal gender ultrasound since they usually only do that if you have signs of preterm labor) then there would be no need.
It will be abdominally. There will be no need for a vaginal ultrasound. I've been able to have people in the entire time for my ultrasounds. I believe it depends on who is doing your ultrasound and how they do things.
The gender will be by tummy, but they may do vaginally for measurments. I know with ever u/s I went to they won't let anyone in the room until they are done doing all the work that they need to do (which would be some vag.) then when everything id done they will let them in the room to see everything. Mostly they will just to vag. to check they length of your cervix.
