Thank y'all. I'm just really nervous about putting my poor cat through this much change in such a short period of time. He's always been 100% my baby and I don't want something bad to happen to him.
As someone who been a foster for fur babies for many many years, here is when I always recommend: keep the cat in the carrier for initial introduction, let the dogs come to him, give them time to sniff and bark and hiss it out, even if it's an hour or two... if you don't have a carrier try putting the cat in the bathroom with one of you inside and the other out with the dogs,at least at first. I always start with the carrier and if the meeting doesn't go well I'll house the feline in the bathroom for a day or two- food water and litter- till things calm down.
I'm not sure on how to make sure they have a good meeting, it's always a struggle bringing animals together for the first time not knowing how'd they will react.
My boyfriend and I have four huge pit bulls that are all under the age of 2 practically still puppies! So brining our son is literally the biggest concern I have, they're all so use to being spoiled and are always getting attention.
I've posted about it and got many responses on buying a fake baby doll, and caring it around. Even playing baby crying on YouTube to see how they response. I've also read it's best to make sure they're calm before meeting he baby letting them run a muck outside so they get pooped out, also I've read to let them smell the baby clothes or even to start using baby lotion yourself so they already adapt to the smell. Hope I helped!
Have them apart for awhile then slowly bring them together I had a friend who had three cats and there was one dog in the house not all cats like dogs and not all dogs likes cats
