Did it work

So my husband and I had sex on the 12, 13 and 14th day past the first day of my last period. (my periods are always irregular but I know the first day of my last perriod) Also on the 14th day, I got a positive on my OPK. It said you could test any time of day so I tested about 9-10 in am and had sex right after. That evening, I felt sharp pain on lower right side (but I was also eating so I dont know if it could have been the food)  Then the next day (15) I noticed clear stretchy cm and then a little bit of cm on day 16. What does anyone think my chances of getting pregnant are. Did I ovulate on day 14, 15 or 16? And how soon can I take a urine test (how many days past ovulation?)

UUUUUgh the suspense is killing me. I took urine test 9 days past when I think I ovulated and still nothing.

It's pretty possible you hit it, can't say what day you ovulated b/c OPK tests can be positive for more than 1 day. I would say....IF it doesn't happen this time around then try something different. It's not actually the best idea to have sex 3 days in a row. Not saying it doesn't work but the best is to go every other day usually. I used to start at CD10 and go every other day until about CD18. Good luck, hope you do get your BFP.

I would wait at least 12-14 dpo.  Sperm can live in your body for 72 hrs and depending on when you ovulated, you still could implant later.  Checking too soon can make you stress if you get a negative.  How long have you been TTC?  If it's been anywhere 8+ months, you may want to schedule an appt with the doctor to make sure you don't have any fertility issues.  Some common ones include PCOS and endometriosis.  PCOS causes practically no symptoms, with the main symptom being irregular cycles.  Good luck and lots of baby dust to you!!!
