I had a hospital birth with my first. It was a horrible experience. Everyone treated me bad because they were trying to take control over my birth and I stood my ground and I wouldn't let them. My ob told me I was gonna kill my child because I wouldn't get antibiotics because my water broke and I had her 25 hours later. But she is almost 11 months old and perfectly healthy. I would never have my child in a hospital unless it was an emergency.

Do you do a home birth with your first pregnancy?  How was your experience?

I completely agree with you its very strict setting in a hospital at least it was for me. I think it's so cool you are doing it at home :)) I would if I was not such a chicken lol. I already have one child but I am so scared of something going wrong and wanting an epidural or something going wrong and needing a c section right away.  I am happy for you :)

I agree with the risk involved but that's with any birth in any setting. I've done a lot of research and I'm actually a high risk pregnancy nurse. I just don't like the confinement of a hospital setting with everyone making decisions for you. I just think it takes away from personal autonomy on your birth. At work i have been getting crazy looks when i tell them im doing a home birth. I'm just asking opinions and truelly appreciate yours. Thanks. :-)

I think if it makes you happy and you are comfortable with it... do it. But definitely research it and be aware of exactly what is going to happen. For me I just feel more comfortable with being in a hospital in case of an emergency.  But I am also a little scared of being in a hospital too bc I don't want to be pushed into using forceps or a c section unless absolutely necessary. But you have to make the decision for yourself.  Good luck! :)
