I am so sorry that you are going through this. I am not an expert, but I believe that at 33 weeks the baby should be okay, but I think that it will need to stay in NICU for a little while. Some of the other ladies may know more about this. Im sure that everything will be okay, !
There is a good chance that he will live I don't think you will be able to bring him home for a while he will probably need alot of help until he reaches 40 weeks!
Hope everything goes well!
I'm sure my OB said 85% at 24 weeks and 95% after 30 weeks.
I had twins in my class come 9 weeks early aand they would have only that small. One had breathing problems and the other had a couple of ops but they are both super fit now and intelligent so have suffered no long lastng effects.
I beleive that he will be ok. I had my son @ 35 weeks and he lived. His lungs were under developed but he was fine after 4 weeks stay in the NICU. I hope everything works out for you. Please keep me posted and I hope all goes well.
your baby has a good chance of surviving even though the lungs may be a little undeveloped they will put the baby in the NICU but your baby has a very good chance good luck
There is a great chance your baby will be just fine. I had my son at 32 weeks,by c-section. He was 4lbs 10 oz when he was born. His lungs were fine, no problems at all. We stayed in the hospital for about a week and we were able to go home. A nurse had came out to the house a few days later and he was a little jaundice but that cleared up with a little sunlight. Then my 4yr old, I had her when I was 35 weeks by c-section. She was 5lbs 9oz, no problem with her lungs everything was just fine. I wouldn't worry much. I'll keep you in my prayers!!
I also believe your baby would have a good chance if born this early. Some babies need little to no medical intervention after birth, whereas others need help learning how to breath and eat.
Baby has a great chance of survival. my little brother was born at 36w and actually went home when my mom did. :) he was over 7 lbs! lol,
Everyone is right, once you hit the 30w mark, babies have a MUCH higher chance of survival. :) good luck!
