just left l & d still no baby! :/

Getting so frustrated! Having prodromal labor (stop and start labor) very painful contractions and cramping for hour on end.... And only dilated at 1.5 cm and 80% effaced. Ugh I feel like this baby will be inside forever!! Anyone else had this happen to them?

Oh yes. We were in and out of L&D with my daughter. Constant contractions but the only difference is I was dilated to a 4 months before my due date. They also did a test to check for preterm labor, tested positive, and she still came around her due date. My best advice is to wait until the contractions are so bad you cant walk. That was the biggest difference for me.

I feel you but it's pointless to go to L&D unless your for sure it's time . pain is normal especially as you get closer to your due date . time your contractions . read on Google it will tell you exactly how close together your contractions need to be . if your water breaks is another reason to head to L&D . if your water breaks and your pain Isnt that bad I recommend calling your doctor and informing her before heading to L&D you could also shower and get comfortable and EAT SOMETHING THEY WILL NOT LET YOU EAT ONCE ON IVS AND MEDS  . . . we are just all so ready to meet or baby's we tend to go to the hospital for any little thing or any little pain . . this is my second baby I will try to stay home as long as I could first part of labor is always better at home than hooked on the machine . and trust me DOCTORS RECOMMEND IT ASWELL
