Baby finally arrived! (very long story)
My due date was August 23rd and since baby didn't come yet I had to be induced. So Sunday the 30th I go to the hospital at 1130am I had been 2cm dilated for a week prior to this and only progressed by 1cm so my OBGYN decided to insert a hormonal gel inside me to get things moving along. By 1pm I had started contracting more but didn't dilate so I was sent home and told to come back at 630 that evening. After I got home my contractions had gotten much more intense I was able to stick it out til around 530 I had to go back to the hospital the pains were getting so strong. Within that time of being at home I had dilated to 5cm so they finally admitted me and waited til around 8pm to break my water to try to speed things along which only progressed me to 7cm where I stayed stuck at all night. They had tried giving me oxytocin from 10pm-midnight which caused my baby's heart rate to drop too low to where they decided to stop the medication and give us a rest and hoped that I would dilate more on my own which did not happen finally at 630am after trying the oxytocin a second time which resulted in the same effect I decided with my dr and family that a c section was the only way to go after 17 hours of intense back labour and only dilating to 7cm I ended up having to give up and go for a c section. After the surgery was done my dr told me the reason for why I wasn't dilating anymore was because my uterus is tilted sideways and that there was no way I would have Been able to give birth vaginally...but I'm just glad to finally have my baby boy with us and know that he is safe and healthy weighing in at 8lbs 11 ounces!
