insurance

So I'm on my moms insurance and I was wondering if anyone knows if once my baby is born if I'm able to put it on my moms insurance as well. I really don't want to put it on government insurance cause the drs over here that deal with public aide people are not good and don't care.
My moms insurance is pretty decent all I'm gonna have to pay is a $500 deduct able when I have the baby.

I was on my dad's insurance when I had my daughter. We had to get her on government insurance first because the paperwork for my dad's insurance took about 30 days. But then she was on my dad's plan for 5 years, until my husband and I had good jobs with good insurance.

How come you don't sign up for your own insurance? Sounds like that would make everything simpler. I don't know if you can put baby on her insurance. But good luck love!
