Newborns in highchairs?

Can you put a newborn in a high chair? My friend is having a birthday dinner and i havent given birth yet but if i dont go before getting induced he will be 10 days old at the youngest.. Anywhere between 10 days old and 20 days old, is it okay for them to be in a high chair? Or just sit him in the pram?:)

Pram would be best, or if you leave him in car seat you can sit that backwards on a chair then up against table so it can't fall, babes won't be able to support his head long enough to sit in a high chair x

If he is sleeping leave him in his car seat. Otherwise I would hold him. He can't properly support himself in a high chair and it will be too big for a newborn.
