No period since August. 5 Negative at home tests.

My last period ended Aug 22. After taking a Negative test every few weeks I assumed I wasn't pregnant and was just very late, but i'm almost 12 weeks late now.  My lower back and hips have been aching very bad for a couple weeks now, bras are fitting very snug, and I've been pathetically exhausted lately. I don't have insurance and don't want to spend the money to go to the doctor just to find out the at home tests were right. I'm just wondering what other things could cause my missing period. I do not have an eating disorder and I'm not stressed out enough to be this late. You couldn't set your clock by my usual period but its usually only a couple days off.

I went to the doctor yesterday. Not pregnant. They're going to run tests after Christmas. Thank you both for your help.

You need to see a doctor.  Pregnancy or not, its important to find out what is causing your symptoms as some serious conditions can cause the symptoms that you describe and these must be ruled out.

Before you started trying to get pregnant, were you on any kind of birthcontrol, mainly the birthcontrol shot? I was on it once before and when I stoped using it, I went for 2 yrs without a period and then after 2 yrs found out I was pregnant. I never had a period or even spotted before I got pregnant. The way I found out was I was in so much pain I could barley move, my husband took me to the ER and found out i had ovarian cysts and I was pregnant, the baby's heart hadnt even started beating when we found out. hope this helps some
