I know some people on here receive foodstamps. I applied two weeks ago and had the interview. I was wondering when do you receive a letter to know if your gonna get foodstamps. Thanks!

Thanks everyone for your comments. I found out that it takes 30 days to receive benefits.

In Oregon once you have your appt it's decided right then unless you did not provide all the info.. I got mine the day they decided I was approved. And they gave me the foodstamps all the way back to the day I applied

I live in NC now & sum thngs happen faster by counties but im sure if you go online or call your caseworker they could tell you

In california its 45/60 days

I don't think it matters by counties. But thats fast when you got yours.

I used to stay n GA & wen I applied it took like 7 - 14 business days for an answer then another 7 days for my card with partial benefits then the next month the full amount.

They approved me that day when we got them several years back but I had to wait 7-14 days for the card and it had a percentage of them then the full amount the next month. Idk how it would be now I haven't had them in a while.

No they didn't send any forms for my employer to fill out. After the interview she told me to upload my id and paystubs. But so far thats it.

I guess it varies from state to state. I'm in Georgia.

Here in Texas I know it can take up to 30 days for them to complete your case. For things like Pregnancy Medicaid they have 14 business days to complete it. But for stamps its 30 days. Good luck!
