O/T---But I am soooooooo excited!!!!

so chris and i have been saying we need a 3rd BR, and more sq.ft.....so today i went and saw a duplex(it's like 20 duplexes, 40 "tenants), in a little gated community, and it's awesome, cos our apt complex has like 100 units, and about 500 tenants! the outside looks drab and crappy(apparently HOA is fighting with Main owner to get it redone, or they will do it and sue him for the costs).....but the house is 1300+ sq ft...3Bed/2Bath, INDOOR laundry(aw, yes, my DREAM lol), a semi-eat in kitchen(big enuff for our square bar style table), as well as a good sized living room, full closets in BOTH bathrooms, and the wall length closets in ALL the bedrooms(the kind that have 2 doors, are about 3 foot deep, but span that whole wall?)...and a private patio, and my other DREAM, 2 RESERVED parking spots 5 FEET FROM THE DOOR!

and it's only $80 more than our apt, and about 5 miles farther out than chris wants to be, but as much as he's offshore, it's not like his gas really gets added to budget, since it's only driven 1/3 of the month! and IF we REALLY wanted, later we have the option of buying both units(renting one or converting to large home, as longs as modifications are to the interior, as the HOA requires no exterior mods be made to keep up the look they are hoping to achieve by fall.....), and then they apply like 1/2 of  your current rent payments towards a down payment.....but i think it's good for us, and with him being offshore, it puts me alot closer to people we know in case "something" happens! and FINALLY, when we're able to have both abby and joey at the same time, joey can share the baby's room, and abby will FINALLY have her own room, even if it's only at our house lol!!!!!

ok i'm sooooooo sorry, but i'm soooo excited, and my mom would literally walk to houston from burnet, smack me 7 ways from sunday, and take MY CAR home if i called her right now lol.....

Get into that place and buy if you can!  Real estate is one of the best investments you can make!  And with the way that bank financing is going it is becoming more difficult for first time buyers without a large down payment...banks just don't want to take the risk anymore SO if you have a financing plan that sounds like its 'built' in I'd jump right into it!

That's great!!!and if you can try to buy it even better. all of my friends pay higher rent they we do for out mortgage, yes we have upkeep costs, but its ours, it has already gone up in value $40 000,since dh bought it, we're getting ready to do extensive renos this summer to make it more my home (it was his family home)

Well good. :) That sounds nice. If I had one wish at this point in time it would be that I could have money to move out, let alone get my "Dream House" you're really lucky seems like things are falling into place for you! :)

And lol my mom and step dad came home from drinking at like 2.30 and my step dad was washing dishes to make food and he's VERY FRIKKIN LOUD. and it woke me up.. whenever I get woken up it's hard for me to get back to bed.. I don't know really.. Thinking too much. Feeling really down. Tried talking to my mom about what I posted earlier. :/

oh and thanks! i'm really excited, and i found this awesome COMPLETE NURSERY on craigslist for $80 w/o mattress, and so now, we figured we'd use our stimulus to get a twin bed for the nursery(for my lil bro or stepson), and also since the people that left the duplex, left an ENTIRE full-size bedroom set(the armoire, huge dresser and and shelves and the headboard), friends of ours that just found they are pregnant(yay! company!), are giving us the full size mat/box out of their guest room, since that'll be their nursery!
the only thing with the bedroom set, is you can see where cigarette burns(of all freaking things!) are on the top, and i figured i could just stain it all darker colored, and it'd go with the cream and burgundy room set she's giving me with the bed! so wow, with all the problems we have had in the lasst 3 months, it seems as though june could be the month we actually are able to settle stuff, and really achieve some things!!!
