Mumita~ Frequent small meals should help you lose weight easier.. Fact is, when you eat it actually boosts your matabolism(sp?) for a couple hrs afterward. Also, if you don't eat for several hrs before you excercise and for a couple hrs afterward, all your going to do is tire out your muscles and they won't have the "food energy" to rebuild themselves.
Try eating a small handful of almonds or another nut or grain about 1 hr before working out. Make sure to drink plenty of liquids. Some work out drinks are out there that are relatively cheap, low in calories and provide you plenty of energy during your workout.
keep up on the track your on, and yea, a bowl of cereal is good for dinner. make sure it's something whole grain and healthy. (I'm eating banana nut cereal for my xtra meals)
The grains will fill you up and if there's protein (found in nuts and other stuff) in there tha'ts better cause it'll make you feel fuller. I was going to the gym for about 5months a year ago and was taught how to eat to burn fat better.
Your matabolism also stayes higher for about 2 hrs after working out.
I think I'm going to eat a bowl of cereal every night for dinner, I shouldn't eat two heavy meals every day. That will also reduce the ammount of dishes I have to wash :)
And I'll go to the gym too when I have the chance during the week, i usually manage to go 2-3 times for about an hour. I hope this works, I gained like 5 pounds (after the extra 10 that I had) when I was pregnant. I mc'd at 7 weeks so no baby and all the extra fat. I was hoping to go to the beach showing off my baby pouch but all I am going to be showing now is a big butt and thighs. So I gotta get rid of it.
any more suggestions are appreciated. :)
Well if you can at least walk every day for 30 minutes and put in some weight training (just lifting 10 lb weights) and some stretching and floor exercises, that should help. Just be tenacious. But don't cut your calories. Just cut the junk!
I have read that if you do not eat 3 hours before you work out and 1-2 hours after you work out, you will be burning more of the fat instead of the food you just ate. That being said, you still have to eat enough so your metabolism doesn't start attacking your muscles. If you can work out first thing in the morning, give yourself a couple of hours then have breakfast (or do something similar in the evening) that would work. Since I don't have time in the morning to work out, I would generally have a late lunch during the day and work out for 1-1.5 hours on the treadmill 3x per week. By the time I got home from the gym, I would have maybe a sizable bowl of healthy cereal and juice or a dinner with some good protein. Honestly though I would be a bit hungry by the time I went to bed, but would fight it. Also, if you do lots of cardio, you can wear a sweatshirt. That will cause you to sweat out the water weight. However, it can also make you a bit dizzy, so be careful with that one....you don't want to overheat.
I also agree with sweetangel7, Weight Watchers is great. I didn't loose a great deal of weight in a short amount of time, but overall I got down to a size lower than I projected and have kept it off. I guess if you push it with the program you could loose some significant weight.
It is good that you are not ttcing this month, this kind of crash dieting/exercising might mess up your cycle. It didn't do anything to my cycle, but I hear it can throw things out of whack a bit.
Hope this helps somewhat..... :o)
I lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks on weight watchers! No exercise either...not that I am opposed to exercise...I have every video and contraption under the sun, but I have been really sick with my asthma and pneumonia so I couldn't exercise...imagine if I had exercised! Just good old fashioned healthy eating!
