Like everyone said, not everyone feels ovulation. I never used to feel it until I was kinda looking for it. When coming off the pill I started to become quite in tune with my body and when I was paying attention I could actually feel slight twinges...at times not even noticeable.
Thank you so much ladies.....I was beginning to think that the support on MH was dwindling but I guess I just posted in the wrong forums at first! I'm glad that even though it's off topic for this forum I can still get support.
Before my son, I would only feel twinges while ovulating. It was actually so helpful while TTC. Now it's actual pain, to the point where I do take an advil or tylenol...then it's on and off through my leutal phase and then my actual period isn't too bad. I will get checked out though, I don't want to have problems and if there is anything I want to know right away because it may effect when I will start TTC again.
A few times a year I get horrible ovulation pain. It started once I got married at 19 and before I had kids, it never really happened before that, that I can remember. So maybe 3-4 months out of the year I get it so painful I have to stay in bed for a few hours! It hurts to move. Some months I just get the twingy feeling and other months I completely miss when I ovulated because I have no pain. I guess it just depends.
Everyone is different, some people have moderate to severe pain, and others have no pain at all and can't even tell when they're ovulating.
I get discomfort, but it's not bad enough to call it pain.
But if you have really bad pain, it's worth making sure everythings doing what it should be doing :-D
I am currently pregnant, but when I am not, I actually have pretty painful ovulation pain as well. It can leave me breathless, it is so painful. Getting checked, as others have suggested, isn't a bad idea. You never know. But things just change as we get older or even after giving birth sometimes. So there may be nothing wrong at all, but again, may be something worth mentioning to your doctor. I take Advil and that helps my pain tremendously. Although you can't take it while pregnant, you can take it while BFing.

What does regular ovulation feel like? How much does it supposed to hurt? Im confused because I don't know what normal is supposed to feel like. I feel pain but I'm not sure whats normal. Help please
Hey :-D I don't have a straight answer for you unfortunatley. But Painful ovulation could mean that you have cysts. Have you had an ultrasound to check? My doc told me that cramping throughout the luteal phase could be a corpus luetum cyst.
