5 days late, still negative...but I FEEL pregnant

Let me know if this sounds familiar to any of you mommies out there. I have lower back pain and my stomach muscles hurt. I dont mean cramps, the muscles in my lower stomach are sore. I been extremely moody not to mention I cry at the drop of a hat now. I have been bloated for the last 2 weeks, it has just now started to ease a bit but I still pass gas all day. I have to pee about every 2 hours like clockwork. My face is all broke out. I am constipated and I could nap all day long. I think the only think I dont have is my boobies dont hurt, but they feel huge suddenly. I had light brown spotting for a few hours the day I was expecting AF 5 days ago. My HPT's are still coming back negative though. Is it possible that I have a BFP coming and it is just too early? I'm starting to think 5 days after implantation I should see a positive, but with all these symptoms I am having a hard time accepting that I might not be pregnant. I just FEEL pregnant, its so weird. I dont want to get my hopes up though, that makes it so much harder. I had a blood test Thursday, I should get the results Monday. Is it still possible I can be preggers?

I'm so sorry.  It's always hard when you have all the symptoms and it doesn't work out.  There's still a chance, though, with the blood test.  I do this to myself every month, so you're not alone.

BFN this morning too. I'm starting to accept the idea, even though I show all the symptoms. I just wish I could start my period already then so I could atleast try this month. I get the doctor results tomorrow

Maybe you have your dates wrong?  I would think you would have a BFP by now if you were but they're not 100% reliable anyway.  Hopefully the blood test will say otherwise.  Good luck!

I am now 20 dpo I think. We tried every pretty much everynight. I know for sure we did from the 16th to the 21st and then again on the 24th, because I remembered to mark those on my ovulation tracker. With my possible IB ( I keep calling it that because I cant imagine what else it could be) being 13 dpo, I didnt know if that would effect when I should test.  I figured hcg levels would be different between a woman with IB at 7 dpo and another with it at 13 dpo. Hopefully my blood test will have some answers, when my doctor did the physical exam she said it was definately possible I could be pregnant. I'm not sure what she was looking for during the exam, all I remember is her mentioning that she saw no traces of blood anywhere.

Um, since not all women get implantation bleeding, I think it is easier and more reliable to count days past ovulation.  How many dpo are you and when did you bd.  You can get a positive as early as 5 days before your missed period.  IF you have hcg in your system which could be detectable with a hpt around 10 dpo, a blood test is more sensitive and would detect any amount present if they do the quantitative test (how much).  If they did the qualitative test (yes or no...usually 5 or lower is no) then it might not show up.

They say to test 18 DPO.  14 DPO is fine but implantation happens anywhere from 7-10 DPO.  If you get to 18 DPO and still no period (when normally you would get one by then) then test.  I think HPT's are 99% accurate at that time but not as accurate before then.

I actually had my IB when I was expecting my period, technically the night before. And it definately wasn't a period because it wasn't even fresh blood and it wasn't even enough to notice unless I was wiping. If 5 days past implantation is too early, when would be a good time to test? And would my blood test still be able to come back positive if it was 3 days after IB?

Well I guess we are all different...I had a mc in December and then 7 months of bfns and on the 7th month I had a very strong feeling at 4dpo that this was it (I also had some cramping that I never got before during the 2ww).

Clomid causes a lot of the symptoms you recall having when you 'knew' you were pregnant.

I highly encourage a blood test and hopefully your will have your bfp.  We have all been on the receiving end of a bfn so keep your head up and stay strong if it is.  But I hope that this is your BFP.

Speaking from experience (and quite a few let downs) "feeling pregnant" and "strong intuition" isn't a good enough sign.  Every time I thought I was pregnant I felt pregnant and had a strong intuition that I was.  I'm on my second round of Clomid and last month I just knew I was pregnant.  My nipples hurt, I had headaches, bloated, cramping....the whole nine yards.  My period came 10 days later.  I never had symptoms before my period before.  It's just I wanted it so bad I was taking the symptoms as more than what they were.  Last September I didn't get my period at all.  Despite BFN's every time we tested I just "knew" I was pregnant again.  4 weeks later my period started.  I didn't feel stressed.  I wasn't sick.  I just never got my period that month (which is the first time ever that has happened).

With that said, there is still a possibility that you are pregnant and the tests are defective.  But chances that all the tests are defective is very slim.  You said you're 5 days late but then later you said you're 5 days past implantation.  If it's 5 days past implantation than it's too early to test.  But if your period is 5 days late then chances are the HPT's are right.  I'm sorry if I'm being ugly I just don't want you to be like me and get your hopes up just to sit on the toilet and cry when AF comes.  It's heartbreaking.  I hope the results come back in your favor though!  I wish you lots of luck and baby dust!

I had positive OPK the 21st, 22nd and morning of the 23rd. I had my "spotting" 13 days later. I wouldnt even call it spotting though, I just saw brown discharge when I wiped a couple times that day. It wasnt even consistant throughout the day, more like every other time I went to the bathroom I noticed something. So I'm considering that to be my IB and working off of that instead of when I should've had a period. Most women have IB on 7 dpo and I might have at 13 dpo so I think that might have something to do with it. I had my blood test 3 days after IB, I should get the results tomorrow.

Well, I believe woman's intuition can be pretty strong so I think that is a positive sign... but maybe you should call the doc on Monday and get a blood test...if you are 6 days late, it should show on a test by now, or so I would think...are you sure of your dates?
