OT: anyone else going through finals week?

I am so glad school is almost over! Finals have been really in depth and long. I'm glad I stayed in school instead of dropping out like I was going to. I'll be done by may 8th and then I'll have all summer to relax before going back in fall. Baby will be here in June. I can't believe how soon that is..

I have finals starting tomorrow. I have a national exam to do for my Anatomy and Physiology class tomorrow, my developmental psychology final on Thursday, and my medical terminology final to do anytime next week.  VERY stressful, but it's almost over!!!  Then I'm off until Fall and I can't wait!!

Thanks, my husband says that I can have a pug when all our real babies leave the house...we are still working on baby number 1 so I have quite some time before I can have my pug baby!  I'm glad you took what I said the right way!  I was so nervous because I didn't want it to come across the wrong way!  Kids are so refreshing!  They make me laugh everyday and it is just amazing to see them through all the trials and tribulations school and life bring on...they are so resilient too...they have a lot to learn but you can learn a lot from them too =)  Good luck with teaching and your baby...just a couple more weeks maybe!

thanks! I do plan on finishing school. I'm going back in the fall. I'll get my teaching degree, I might just not get into teaching right away but I'd always have that degree to fall back on. I completely agree with you on that one

I love elementary kids. They have SO much to learn and I love being the one to answer all their questions. They're so pure and curious. it's fun

p.s your pug is really cute!!

I'm an elementary teacher too!  However in MA you need to get your Master's within 5 years of your Bachelor's in order to maintain your license to teach soooo I just finished my last class for this semester!!!! Yeah!    I have three classes to take in the summer and then I'll be done for awhile!  Congratulations on finishing up your coursework while pregnant...even if your bf is getting a business going I think you should keep going to school and finish up with your teaching degree...my mother raised me to believe that a woman, especially a mother needs to be able to support herself and a child if necessary.  Not to be negative, but what if something happens to your bf...you never know what the future might bring and unless you have life insurance and savings, you could consider a career your own personal form of life insurance...insurance that you and your baby will be all right and taken care of!  Anyways, I love teaching and I am thankful everyday that I have a job I love and feel lucky to go to work and have it not feel like work at all!  Good luck!

Stresshead- I have thought about that. But I just like the job because you get summers off. I don't mind planning days or grading papers. But I'm thinking of not working at all honestly!! My bf is getting a motorcycle/bicycle repair business going out of our garage and it is doing really well. He's thinking of quitting his day job to stay home and do repairs. He would make more $ that way.. anyway, then I wouldn't have to work :D

Kim- I can't imagine it either! But I guess we both will do it, lots of women do. It probably involves alot of late nights and lack of sleep :P

You dont want to be a teacher chick!! I don't know what elementary is but I teach science to 11-18 years and I would not recommend it. We have adverts here that are like 'No one forgets a good teacher' and ' Want to work with some of the most inspiring minds' there is a recruitment drive.
They should say 'Forget your life if you want to be a teacher' and 'Want to work with some of the most rude, disrespectful, lazy youths' LOL

It is very rewarding but I am wondering how on Earth I will do this job properly when I finally have a family!!

I am still working and it is 22:47pm. I will have to work til the early hours just to have a free bank holiday Monday but then I a neurotic and I NEVER teacher from textbooks.

Pick a nice career you can forget about when you get home xx

That's cool. I want to be a teacher, that's what I'm going to school for. I want to teach elementary :)

Yes, it will all be over soon it's just so stressful with all the deadlines and being 33 weeks pregnant. And I'm a perfectionist and insist on getting all A's so I work really hard at it. I have to sit in a funny position to be able to type on the laptop since my belly is so big haha

Not going through finals because I'm a teacher but all my exam groups exams are vastly approaching. Most are at beginning of June and I have and still am (even at this minute) working towards their success. Just four more days to go for you though Yay!!! You have done so well to not drop out and I hope your results are exactly what you hoped for  xxx
