Do you know roughly when you normally ovulate? How long do your cycles usually last? I wouldn't test till AF comes, because it's most likely you've missed ovulation this cycle. Start fresh next cycle from about cd9/10, and make sure you're having sex every other day (not every day).
When using OPKs, they're different from a pregnancy test. A pregnancy test is best using with first morning urine, but an OPK is best used between the hours of 1pm-8pm. This is because the LH surge doesn't happen in the morning. You're sometimes better testing twice - for days when the test is almost positive, in case you surge later in the day. For an OPK to be positive, the test line needs to be darker, or just as dark as the control line. If it's any lighter at all then it's not positive. When you do get a positive, it means you're most likely to ovulate within the next 12 or so hours so BD as soon as possible.
There used to be a page on here that told you all the abreviations, but it's either been moved or I just can't find it. Any you want to know, just ask!
Thank you all I will start using them after AF if it comes. Or could I test all the way up till AF comes? And what time of day should I test. Also could any one send me the abberveations of everything like AF OPK, BFN and what they mean I know some of them but not all of them. I know it sounds stupid.
I concieved about a month after using the clear blue digital ovulation test
I did and it only took me 2 months and i caught. I tried for almost 2 years before i used the strips. Well worth it :-)
Many women have conceived using these, because it means that they are having sex round about the time of ovulation. You need to start testing with them about CD9/10. This is because women ovulate mid cycle, so that could be anywhere from cd14-cd20 depending on how long your cycles usually last. I would say, you'd be better waiting and starting them next cycle so you're starting a fresh because at CD18 it's possible you've already ovulated.
