Pedicures and Pregnancy

So, I went for a pedicure today, which I like to do on occasion.  I am 30 weeks pregnant now, so I figure it's a safe time.  However, the place was not well ventilated and I was there for just over an hour so now I am freaking out just a bit that I hurt my baby with the smells.  I read online that over exposure has been known to cause birth defects, and this was only one time in this not-so-well ventilated place, so I wouldn't say that that would be "over-exposure" so, do you think I am worrying unnecessarily?  Have you heard of real cases of birth defects caused by occasional exposure to the nail spa smells?

I have never heard of it. I can also say that when I was pregnant with my first I went to the nail salon religiously every other week and my daughter was 100% perfect. I have heard though not to let them massage your achilles when getting a foot massage though since it can send you into labor. However, I am also skeptical about this as well since I've seen numerous people try to send themselves into labor with these old wives tales and nothing has ever come of it.

Thanks for your response.  I'm sure my baby is fine - did more research online about it, too, and it seems occasional exposure doesn't do harm - just worried me since it wasn't that well ventilated in the place I went to.  It wasn't to the point of making me sick or anything, just strong fumes.
