Perineal Massage.
So. I really want to try perineal massage. I'll have to do it myself though ... I'm planning on a natural medication free delivery so preventing tearing as much as I can would be optimal! Do any of you ladies have tips ? Since I'm doing it myself ... it seems difficult. I looked at it a little online but I think hearing from someone else would be very beneficial.
All I can say is it's a very good idea!! I didn't know about it or do it myself with my first but all through labor my midwife was doing it for me and it worked like a charm... but I don't know what kind of oil to use (I bet coconut oil would probably work pretty well) or how to really do it effectively... definitely a good plan though. Good luck with your natural birth!! It's an amazing feeling!
