Please Help Me

I'm confused with ovulation and conception timing. My bf and I arent TTC, but I think I may be pregnant, which is fine. My last normal period was 10/10/2011-10/14/2011, and was routine. We had unprotected sex 10/15/2011, and my period for this month which was 11/4/2011-11/6/2011, was a few days early and only lasted 2 days. I took an HPT on 11/10/2011 but it was negative. Could I still possibly be pregnant? I cramped all day yesterday, i'm constantly nauseated, irritated, and my breasts feel tender. Thanks in advance for any advice you may have.

Mms_04, thx. I actually read that somewhere as far as the 14 days.
Thebrat333, my normal cycle lasts about 5 days, so when I only bled for 2 days this month, it raised a red flag. I used a pregnancy calculator on some website to determine the likelihood, but it asked for LMP & I dont know whether the bleeding I experienced 2 weeks ago is even considered to be an actual menstrual cycle. I already have 3 boys, but I just missed my period in both of those pregnancies. Oh, and I did not use first morning urine, due to me being overly anxious lol. Thanks to both of you for responding :)

Hi there!!

You didn't actually say how long your cycle normally is ??

Usually it is mid cycle that you ovulate so the shorter your cycle the more likely it is that you became pregnant  .  The sperms live for 5 to 6 days so if you were on a 22 day cycle say and ovulated on day 11 that would be 6 days after you had sex and so the sperms could still be alive to fertilise the egg....do you follow what I mean?

Hope this helps

If this is what happened and you ovulated on the 21st Oct then usually it needs two full weeks to pass before testing for pregnancy so 4th Nov.

You tested on the 10th Nov so this should have been an acurate result  by then. Did you use first morning urine??

There is always the chance you are one of these people who just take a bit longer to test positive ...some people can take four months!!!!

If your period doesn't come next month then go to the doctors for a blood test.
xx

Well typically in the cycle you don't ovulate until 14I days(I think ) after the first day of your period...so based on you having sex the day after your period..I would say no. But again..anythings possible! !
