Please pray for me and my family!

Last thursday started out as the happiest day of my life, but it ended up being a very sad day.  That morning I took a pregnancy test and it was positive!  Me and my fiance were so excited. But later that day around lunch, I received a call from my son's school and they told me that he had a seizure.  I rushed home and rushed him to the hospital.  Come to find out that he had a tumor the size of a golf ball in the back of his brain.  They immediately rushed him to the childrens hospital in Atlanta.  He was admitted and had surgery yesterday morning.  Everything went well and the tumor was removed, and today was confirmed that the tumor was not cancer.  So today, he's been a little groggy because of the medicines, but overall he is doing really well.  This has really been an overwelming week for us.  For who all reads this blog, please pray for us and hope all continues to be well for my son and my new little one.

I am so sorry for what your little boy has gone through! Its a blessing that it wasnt cancer! I hope that he recovers well and everything goes well for him! As a mother we only want to love them, keep them safe and healthy! Keep your faith and hope in God he will help us through the dark to find the light on the other end with him!

I know it's a weird thing for ppl to meet on these forums, but we've all become so close here and we come to eachother for everything.  I'm in Atlanta as well and if there is anything you need please dont hesitate to send me a message and let me know.  At the end of the day sometimes all you have is the person right next to you.  At least he has his since of humor and his spirits are up.  We'll keep you lifted up in prayer!

I spoke with his doctor a little while ago and he said that he's doing exceptionally well for having such a major surgery.  He actually woke up and talked for a little while.  They have a diaper on him, just incase he has any accidents.  So I told my son that I was going to take a picture of him in his diaper.  He said, "Put it on Myspace," then he fell back asleep.  That just let me know that he's going to be doing better in no time.  I put all of my trust in God and I know he's going to be okay.

that is awful!!  i will definately pray for you and your family! please keep us posted as to how your son is doing with the recovery. i couldnt imagine ever having to go through that! please give your son hugs from us... im crossing my fingers for a quick painless recovery for him!!

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I'm glad everything turned out to be okay. Especially that the tumor wasn't cancer. You got lucky, just think of it that way. Now you'll be able to rejoice in his being okay and being pregnant! Good luck. Happy pregnancy! And I hope your son feels better
