Is labor near?

I'm 39 weeks exactly, as of Monday I was only 1cm dilated and thick, I got my membranes striped and that only gave me some cramps and brown discharge. But Monday night until now I have been having frequent loose bowle movements (sorry tmi) and this morning I woke up and lost some of my mucus plug. I'm getting induced on my due date, jan 7th but hope baby comes on her own. Are these signs labors soon or not necessarily??

Membrane sweeps only truly work if you are more then 3cm dilated or 40weeks pregnant but if you lost your mucus plug then labor is soon and I would suggest postponing the induction if you want a natural birth but if not then you will see your baby soon woohoo

They are signs that your body is preparing. Let gravity help you. Walk and stay up right. Just don't wear your self out.
