Positive for strep b

I have kaiser so I have an app that sends all my test results to my phone. Just gt my strep b results and I tested positive. I don't have another appointment for two weeks so I was wondering if anyone know what that means? Why it happens? Or what happens now?

Yea my doctor contacted me and told me not to be worried at all. Just kind of freaks you out when you see your positive for something and you have no idea how you got it!

I tested positive with my first pregnancy.  It's just a bacteria your body produces naturally but if it's produced when you're pregnant,  you'll need antibiotics when you're going into labor just to make sure it doesn't harm the baby. Doctor said if I tested positive with the first one more than likely I'll test positive with this one. Not too much to worry about (:

I have it too.  Basically when we go into labour we have to have antibiotics via IV. Don't research it too much it'll only scare you. As long as they know you're positive for it (which they do) all will be fine. :)

I dont know too much about it, but my friend tested positive. Its just a certain bacteria that some woman get. When your in labor be sure to tell the nurses and they put you on antibiotics so it doesnt go to the baby.
