Possible ovulation twice in one month?

Hey everyone :) I feel a little silly asking but this has been driving me nuts! I started my last period on Oct. 5, 2009 and it lasted until the 10th. On the 13th I noticed egg white cervical mucous (sorry for tmi). I thought it was a little strange considering most people don't ovulate 3 days after their period ends. My husband and I are trying for our #2 so we thought it may have just been an extremely early ovulation. We had sex everyday from the 13th to the 21st cause this is when my ovulation calculator said I was due to have my fertile period.  Well last night which was the 25th I noticed more egg white cervical mucous. I was wondering if it is possible that I may have ovulated twice this month.
After the first suspected ovulation I had a little bit of light pink spotting that only showed up when I wiped and only had it 1 time. Since then I've had horrible headaches, diziness, mood swings and my boobs have felt larger and more tender than usual. It's too early to take a hpt but to me it doesn't make sense. Could I have ovulated, gotten pregnant, then ovulated again? Someone please help!

I really want to test but I don't want to see that dreaded negative result. Its really discouraging to see that month after month. I think the wait and see method may be more appropriate this time

lol anything is possible...i believe that once a woman has symptoms i think the hcg should be high enough to get a + test!

I saw that story too. I'm going to keep a close eye on things and maybe go get an OPK. AF is supposed to start on Friday so we'll just have to wait and see. Still very confusing though!

I heard that story on the news too.  They think this happens more often but hasnt really been proven before.  Very interesting.

spade is right you can ovulate twice within 24 hours this will produce twins or multibles..some scientists say its possible others dont.comon sense really i suppose.but just this last week in the uk,there was a women who ovulated.concieved but actually ovulated again weeks later.and concieved 2nd baby due few weeks apart.its the first documented.so wjo knows anythings possible.

some women can be dry after ovulation, day you see ewcm is considered the final fertile stage, but hey have fun and keep bedding just in case..

Well I have heard that it is possible but I dont really know. I was thinking that I would start using opks right after AF until she comes again, because like you I tend to get CM more then once a month and always a couple of days apart.  Sometimes before expected O and around the time of expected O and then sometimes again after....

Some women DO ovulate twice in one month.  There is some evidence that some twins are conceived this way but it has been hard to prove.

I think it is possible to O but since you are irregular, there's really not a way to find out unless you're charting or using OPK's or something.  I would say bd until af comes or every other day til then.  I think since you bd'd everyday from those select days then you most likely got your fertile period but just to be on the safe side I would still get down with the hubby until af starts.  Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that some preggo women have said that they get more CM (egg white, creamy, or whatever consistency) right before getting a BFP so maybe this is you.  Why don't u test soon and see what happens.  Get the First Response Early Reponse that tests up to 4 days sooner than your missed period.  Good luck and SSBD 2 ya!!

Tell me about it.well in that case you could test,if the first lot was ovulation then you could get an positive by now.if it was the 2nd then afraid bit ,more waiting, but you can safely rule out ovulation twice in a cycle.its possible your body even tried to ovulate but didnt for whatever reason, happens from time to time, and you did infact ovulate late..
understand your frustration when cant pin point our cycle.hae you thought about charting your cycle this will enable you to track body cycle.if you have only had it removed short while ago,can send body bit wacky for a while.I never been on pill myself, but had screwed up cycle.i started to take vitamin b6 it helped regulate my cycle.let me know how you get on.

I see what you mean but my husband and I didn't have sex until I noticed the ewcm. I would love to be a 28 day girl but my cycles are all over the place lol I had mirena for 2 years and ever since I had it removed I've been horribly irregular and my whole body has been thrown off. I've had cycles that are anywhere from 24-35 days. Talk about frustrating when you're ttc!

Its possible the first lot of ewcm was the ending of your period, somtimes by having sex within time cycle ends.left overs come away due to orgasms and contracting.if you know what i mean.its not likely you ovulated twice in the cycle,as once O happens your luteal phase will always govern when your period comes, normally within 16 days.

so ovulation would depend however often your cycles are.if your a normal 28 days girl.then the second lot maybe your period is on the way.
