Postpartum Depression

I'm a new Mom and I've been crying a lot. I cry over everything. I think about everything that needs done need. I cry for no reason. My husband's been sick so I've been getting up with my daughter a lot through the night. I don't know if it's lack of sleep making me emotional. Has anyone had postpartum Depression? Any advice on what can help me get through it. I want to be a happy new mom.

Nap when baby naps. Have friends or family over to help you out n just for positive vibes around you. At first I cried a lot to. It gets better. Around 2 or 3 months. Like said above pamper yourself a Lil. Don't worry about your body image you just had a baby. Alone time with hubby helps too. If possible ask friend to watch baby for a while when you to go out on a date or something. When hubby feels better obviously.

Also try to make the effort to get dressed and presentable in the morning. Make dates with friends or ask people to come over and visit. Having someone to talk to can really help.

Try getting more sleep if possible. Don't worry about cleaning the house while baby sleeps. Keep up in sleep for a bit to help you feel better. You can always talk to your doctor if you feel you need help with depression
