Potty training???

So my son is going to be 3 on September 25 and I cannot get him to use the toilet for anything.!!! He has 2 different training seats and one that fits over the actual toilet. I've gotten him character underwear so he'd be excited to wear them and I just put him on the toilet every hour during the day and tell him to try just get him in the habit. Also tried putting cheerios in the toilet so he can aim at them. My parents have resorted to telling him he can have a new toy once he actually uses the potty but still nothing.! I just don't know what else to do. Once I start working again he'll be in daycare and unless he gets this down he's going to be stuck in the 2 year old room which I don't want. Any advice or tips that you guys know of.??

My baby sister taught herself b/c my step mom told her that they will take her to Disneyland if she goes potty in the toilet and it was after her 3rd bday

Some kids just take a bit longer, I know that's not what you want to hear but... make it fun for him.  Sticker chart, etc. Don't make it a chore or anything like that.  And sadly when he's ready it will go much smoother for y'all.

Actually I'm having a boy so il bump you up lol. I have a daughter and I didn't potty train her my ex/ baby's father did. And she was using the bathroom every hour or when I had to use the bathroom after she ate or drink anything 5 mins later she had to go sit on the potty. And every time she went we cheered and she got a snack. Or ice cream. And when we had underwear on her during the day and she pissed we popped her and sent her to the potty till she used it. And at night he either got up or I did and had her use the bathroom. We stopped all drinks after 7:30. Because her bedtime was 9. She was 2 so she knew and understood.
