Best Conception Days

My first child was concieved while on birthcontrol and now my husband and I have been trying for baby #2 since summer of 2008 with no success. I have been using opk's and been getting positve results around 16-17 day of cycle and then we have sex on days 16-19. Am I doing his right? Should I be trying before I get a postive result?

it's entirely normal for it to take upto a year when trying to conceive. you only have a 25% chance of conceiving each cycle. if you're worried you're missing your ovulation, have sex every 2/3 days-no chance of missing it then.
