Prenatal Vitamins

I'm 9 weeks pregnant and I stopped taking my parental vitamins (gummies) because they made me vomit and real, real sick! I was taking Vita Fusion PreNatal Gummies. Am I putting my baby at risk? What are some other good kind of prenatal gummies??

1st trimester is the worst with prenatal but honestly it's the iron that makes you nauseous. I had to take mine at night, I still do. They still made me somewhat nauseous but if I calmed myself down I wouldn't throw up. I take nature's bounty from our Giant Eagle since they're normally buy one get one free. Which is great since they're 9.99 lol

Same thing happened to me. I was taking the same exact ones and all of sudden I could barely get them down without gagging. I think it was the smell. I switched to the pill kind. But now for my second pregnancy Im taking the flinstone gummies and I like them. Almost need a new bottle lol

I've been taking the Women's one a day pills, they are huge. Prenatal help especially for spinal ambifida. As you're still in the first trimester you could be free of nausea in a few weeks I know mine peaked between 8-14 weeks. You can always crush the pills and drink it dissolved in water or on top of your toast etc. I would shop around for one that isn't especially disgusting to you though.
My mother in law wrote off prenatal vitamins because she ate really healthily and had no traces of birth defects running in herself or her family.  I crave greasy foods though and I know I'm not eating as healthily as I should.
It's okay to miss a few days especially if you are staying relatively healthy, but I wouldnt go without for the entire pregnancy.

Are you still throwing up? You should also ask for nausea/vomitting medicine. Because you really need to take the prenatal vitamins

I know its awful that they are big pills but its better to take one a day than to be feeling sick. I took the target brand pills and didn't make me sick.
