my birth story !!

I know I'm late but here it goes ..on the 31st of October I started having contractions around 9 pm I began tracking them and relized they we're getting closer in time and stronger as time passed. I was already a week overdue and not sure if it was real labor or not so I came and posted my question on here ..mainly everyone said it was real labor and that I should head to l and b asap..I was still in denial and waited it out to see if contractions would stop ..finally at about 1 am I called my mother inlaw and told her u thought it was time and she came to take me and hubby to hospital. ...I also phoned my mom and sis because I wanted them to be there with me through labor ..as soon as I got up to l and b they hooked me up and monitored me for about 1 :30 minutes and I was 4 cm 80%(I had a appointment earlier in the 31st and doctor said I was only 2 cm and 50% she also stripped my membranes which hurt like a *****) the midwives told me to get things moving faster I needed to walk around hospital for 2 hours! I was in pain and livid that I had to walk but agreed because I wanted my little one out already!  So I walked and walked went back in got all hooked up and I was at 5 centimeter 100% they then decided it was time to take me to mY room i was in labor 19 hour's. ..the experience was so weird and scary I got and epidural which didn't hurt at all compared to contractions and I felt relief.. the midwives where checking me and surprisingly instead of progressing I decreased. I went from 100% to 80% and I was still 5 centimeter 18 1/2 hours later. They said my cervix was beginning to swell .They were getting concerned because my little ones heart rate begun to drop and nothing they did seemed to progress my labor I was givin pitocian and my water was broken .my worse nightmare was coming to life the doctor came and told me we needed the baby out asap so I would need a csection I was devasted and began crying almost immediately they begun preparing me and sent me into operation it was so cold and I was shaking like a leaf when they first started cutting I couldn't feel a thing but soon as they begun digging and tugging and pulling at the baby I felt it all and was crying hysterically I squezzed my hubby's hand through the pain and pressure and finally I heard her cry! Arissa was born on November 1st @8:13 pm she was 8 pounds 2 oz!  I was in so much pain I laid on the table still crying all the way till they stitched me up and took me to recovery. I held her about 1 hour later after I calmed down and woke up from all the drugs they'd given me ..I started breastfeeding and she latched on right away as i held her for the first time i cryed and even though my delivery didn't go as planned I wouldn't change it for the world because my little girl was all worth it :)

I feel your pain i had almost the same experience with my 5 child 2yrs ago never want to feel that burning pain ever again im terrified of having a csection again because of last time

This was literally the exact same thing that happened to me.. even the shaking and cold when going in the or.. so happy your baby is here congrats :)

Ahhh I wanted the local anesthetic since i was put completely under the first time but I'm not so sure no more! Well I'm glad to.hear your doing fine now hun I hope you have a fast and safe recovery. Once again congrats!

Yes while they we're digging I was screaming. It hurts and by then I guess it was to late for them to do anything so two more people and started to hold my chest down because when they took her out I damn near hopped of the operating table!  They drugged me up pretty good after wards though

Yea you feel pressure obvi since they're digging around in there but it should not have been painful. Maybe they didn't numb you up right. Did you say anything?

Thanks so much lady's and yes i literally felt it all ! Right before I never felt an instrument but instead a alcohol pad and they asked was it warm. Or cold ... I think maybe I should have been drugged more. Or something cause eveyeryone who I know. Said a csection shouldn't hurt and you shouldn't feel a thing

Did you literally feel everything or jusy all the pressure?! That's scary! I had and emergency c-section with my first and when they ran the instrument to see if I could feel anything I did so I was put under. I could never imagine wha. You went tthrough with all that pain I cry when I cut my finger! You are one strong momma congrats one you baby!
